Kieran Flatt, Maria Garreffa, Alexander Longman, Sam Turnpenney

Laser trapping is a technique used to confine atoms to a small region of space. In this paper, we look at this technique with regards to ideal gases. A relationship between the radius of the confined gas cloud and the power of laser required to confine it is derived.
